Wardrobe notes
Fewer pieces. More possibilities.
A capsule wardrobe is a group of clothes that fit your life and combine easily—not a fixed number of things.

Start with what you wear
Set aside the pieces you wore most over the past few weeks. Look for recurring shapes, colours and practical needs. These are more useful clues than a generic list of must-haves.
Choose connecting pieces
A shirt that works with two pairs of trousers and a jacket connects more outfits than a piece you can only wear one way. Lay out several combinations before shopping and note what is genuinely missing.
Keep a little contrast
An easy palette need not be all neutrals. A colour you love can repeat in a knit, a shirt or an accessory. Mix textures to keep simple combinations interesting without buying more.
Review, don’t replace
Revisit your capsule when the weather or your routine changes. Repair, adjust or restyle useful pieces before replacing them. There is no need to discard good clothes to reach a target count.
