Wardrobe notes
An everyday wardrobe, edited.
An essential earns its place by how often you wear it—not by appearing on a universal checklist.

Begin with your week
Look at what your days actually involve: work, commuting, evenings, weather and movement. Identify the pieces you reach for most, then notice what would make them easier to combine.
Build connections
Choose a small group of tops, bottoms and layers that work together. A tee, shirt, knit, jacket and comfortable trouser are useful starting points, but the right balance depends on your routine.
Consider texture
A simple outfit becomes more interesting when its textures differ. Try crisp cotton with denim, a soft knit with tailored trousers, or a smooth shoe with a textured jacket.
Buy with a role in mind
Before adding a piece, imagine at least three combinations with what you already own. Fit, comfort and care requirements matter as much as colour. A piece that needs special care should suit the time you can give it.
